Governor, Gary Herbert signed a bill that tuned over thousands of miles of Public Water to wealthy landowners, including a stretch of the Provo River belonging to his brother in law.

Growing-up my dad use to tell me about fishing certain sections of a river that is close to our home, with his father. At some point the various stretches on this river were sold, or inherited, and posted as private. On a regular basis, I would drive past these sections of river and think about his stories and hope that someday I could also fish them. It has been a nice couple of years with access to the water that I had been waiting to fish all this time. Hopefully, this will move through the courts fairly quick and access will be returned to the public that it belongs to.
that mean you can float in? as long as you don't touch the bed?
a bunch of crap!
Yeah … Just don't touch the bed, with anything. No anchors, etc.
That blows Cor! Try Mexico.
Boooo!
Imagine that, greedy Americans.
Do they own to the high water mark, or the entire stretch of river bed/river? Sounds like something needs to be appealed.
What a joke!…. Anglers for Peter Corroon
Big BOOOOOO!
Kirk: At this point the private property owner owns all land including the riverbed. It will go back to court and, hopefully, be reversed.
The greedy land owner should have to pay a huge tax on the river/creeks that flow through their property. It is after all tax payers waters. This really sucks!!
