Western Fly Fishing is home for the photography of Corey Kruitbosch. Living in Ogden, Utah, I have been slapping down hoppers in the Rockies since the age of thirteen. I feel that working for fifteen-plus years in the gaming industry as a 3D artist has given me a bit of a different perspective. My work has been featured in many national publications, most recently my photography has been profiled in “The Drake”, “American Angler”, and in the Trout Unlimited Publication “Trout”.
I don’t pretend to be the best fly fisherman… I do prize the quality of solitude, focus, and calmness that fly fishing offers. When on the river, things seem to be a little more real and poignant. Everything becomes focused on that moment, that fish. Hopefully, I am able to capture some of the emotion of these experiences.
